Facial skin rejuvenation can be accomplished in several different ways. Choosing the right procedure may seem a daunting task, but keep in mind that most of the available skin treatments are designed to target one or two specific problems. Mature adults come to us with lots of complaints about their facial skin, the most common being dry, brittle, and dull-appearing skin.
Below, we outline three different styles of facials.
HydraFacial
This is a popular skin rejuvenation procedure that’s performed in-house in less than two hours. It’s quite a complete, all-encompassing treatment that addresses multiple skin concerns.
This multi-step procedure begins with an exfoliation performed by using a handheld rotary tool that has a brush-like end. A mild peel acid is applied to the skin after the exfoliation is completed. The acid immediately lifts away most of the epidermal layer within just a few minutes.
This is followed by an extraction procedure. A suction instrument unclogs pores and removes excess oil so that the skin can breathe properly. Finally, a serum full of nutrients that include peptides and antioxidants is infused into the skin. The results of the Hydrafacial are immediately noticeable.
Chemical Peel
Trichloroacetic acid is applied to the skin surface, and it penetrates through the epidermis to the middle dermal layer. After about 10 minutes, the solution is washed off and the face cleansed thoroughly. Over the next three or four days, the epidermal layer and some of the dermis dries up and flakes away. This causes the body to go into overdrive creating new skin cells. After several weeks, the skin is now much smoother in texture, and any blemishes within the epidermis or dermis are far less visible.
Traditional Facials
If you are feeling less adventurous, we offer a variety of traditional facial options! Each of the facials we offer addresses a unique concern. These treatments are usually short, but the are refreshing and can rejuvenate the appearance and health of your skin!
